What is the Workout Warriors Programme?
The Workout Warriors Programme is a 6-week beginner-focused bootcamp that we will be running from Thursday 2nd January until Sunday 16th February.
The aim of the programme is to take the guesswork out of starting your exercise journey. Many of us join the gym in January but often fail to build a lasting exercise routine due to a lack of support or direction. This is where Workout Warriors is different!
As well as getting access to everything included in our standard Anytime Ashton membership, all those enrolled in the Workout Warriors programme will also get access to an additional timetable of classes from 2nd January-16th February. These classes are specifically designed for beginners and will allow you the opportunity to develop an exercise routine at a level suitable to you, under the guidance of our instructors. All you need to do is commit to attending however many classes you feel is manageable over the 6 weeks, say for example 2-3 per week and by the end you'll be a Workout Warrior!
What does it include?
As well as getting access to everything included in our standard Anytime Ashton membership (our regular class timetable and access to the gym), you will also get access to all of our Workout Warriors' additional beginner-focused classes. These classes run 7 days a week, with two classes a day during the week (a morning class and an afternoon class) and 1 class a day on Saturdays and Sundays.
You can check out the full timetable here.
Can I join at anytime?
You certainly can! The programme starts on Thursday 2nd January, however, you can join at any point on the programme and start attending classes.
I haven't been exercising for a while, am I suitable for this programme?
Of course - this is the perfect programme for you! The instructors will be on hand to assist you with technique and can offer any alternatives to exercises if necessary, based on injuries or fitness levels. Don't be afraid to ask for help!
Do I need to attend all classes? How many should I attend?
Not at all, the number of classes included in the Workout Warriors beginner's bootcamp has been chosen in order to give everyone on the programme as much opportunity as possible to attend classes alongside all the pressures of normal lives. This is why there are two classes per day during the week, one in the morning and one the evening, and one on both Saturday morning and Sunday evening.
You are by no means expected to attend all classes! We would suggest trying to attend anywhere from 2-3 classes a week if you're a beginner, and adding in more classes only if you feel like your body can handle it. Remember, the aim of this programme is to build a lasting exercise routine, so picking a number of classes that is manageable every week is the key to consistency.
What classes are there?
We have a variety of classes included in this programme. Remember that variety keeps things interesting and helps to build consistency so don't be afraid to mix things up!
Our beginner's bootcamp - The beginner's bootcamp is a 30-minute full body class designed to improve your all-round strength, mobility & fitness! Instructors will use a variety of kit & whole-body exercises in order to produce a fun, time-efficient and results-driven workout.

How do I book classes?
To access these classes you will need to log into the website or our app with your email address as your username and the password you created on sign up. Classes are available to book 48 hours prior to the class start time.
Classes can be cancelled up to 90 minutes before the class is set to start (via the website or app). Non-attendance or late cancellations within 90 minutes of the class start time will result in a £2 fine. Your account will then be blocked until the fine is paid at reception... we do this in order to ensure that members do not book class spaces and then not show up when other members would have also wanted a space.
What's the difference between these classes and the regular class timetable?
The Workout Warrior classes are specifically designed for beginners to exercise or for those that are getting back into exercise after some time off, these classes are also not available to any current members.
However, you are also free to attend our classes on the normal timetable, it is up to you! These classes are also suitable for beginners. These can also be booked in the same way as the classes on the Beginner's Bootcamp.
What should I do when the programme finishes?
Whatever you want! It is our hope that by the end of the programme, you will have started to build a weekly exercise routine that you enjoy and that you feel like you are making progress with. You can continue to develop this routine by simply replacing your Workout Warrior classes with classes on our normal timetable that runs throughout the year and/or mix in some gym sessions too! If you're not quite sure what to do next, feel free to talk to someone at our reception or email us at ashton@workoutbristol.co.uk
